After finalization of the takeover of Barcelona Cartonboard in November 2018, Reno de Medici (RDM) will now sell the company’s paperboard via its own marketing organization in all European markets except for Portugal. In Spain and France, a combination of the two will be implemented.
According to RDM, Barcelona Cartonboard is the seventh biggest producer of recycled cartonboard in Europe with the possibility of folding boxboard (GC2) production. At its mill in Castellbisbal in Catalonia it has capacities to produce 200,000 tpy of board and employs 230 staff.
