China pulled back its buying of US recovered fiber in November as its import license quotas were filled for the year, flooding the domestic market with additional material. This left US mills full with old corrugated containers (OCC) and generation was high, contacts said in the last week.
Export pricing dropped by $50/ton for double-sort OCC (DSOCC) No. 12 out of Los Angeles/Long Beach and Oakland ports to $165/ton and $160/ton, respectively.
