The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its Q3 2022 Boxboard report. According to the report, total boxboard production in Q3 increased 3% compared to Q3 2021. It was up 2% when compared to the same 9 months of 2021.
The boxboard operating rate in Q3 2022 was 95.7%, up 1.2 points from Q3 2021 and up 0.6 points year-to-date.
- Solid Bleached Boxboard production in Q3 increased 2% compared to Q3 2021. It was up 2% when compared to the same 9 months of 2021.
- Recycled Boxboard production in Q3 increased 5% compared to Q3 2021. It was up 4% when compared to the same 9 months of 2021.
- Uncoated Kraft & Gypsum production in Q3 increased 3% compared to Q3 2021. It was up 1% when compared to the same 9 months of 2021.
