Tissue company CGMP acquired Le Bourray in 2019 from insolvent Arjowiggins and produces virgin and recycled fiber-based tissue on two machines.
French tissue producer Le Bourray plans to enter the production of recycled market pulp at its mill near Le Mans. Le Bourray is considering converting a former Arjowiggins recycled graphic paper machine into a production line for recycled pulp.
Le Bourray is currently waiting for the project offers from different machine engineering companies, general manager François Bourdin explained. However, it was still too early to confirm the project. Other options might be taken into consideration as well, for example, the installation of a completely new line, he said.
The recycled pulp is planned to be sold in France as well as in other European countries.
Le Bourray employs 110 people and runs two tissue machines with a total production capacity of 30,000 tpy. As of late, the company is also producing recovered fiber-based tissue.
