ProJet successfully starts up high pressure cleaner at Modern Karton, Turkey

ProJet has completed the successful start-up of its 2 Pro Cleaners Type F systems at Modern Karton, PM5. Modern Karton’s PM5 produces Fluting and Testliner (70-160gsm) made from 100% OCC on a 8230mm wide machine at 1,600m/min. OCC is known for its extreme contamination on the Forming Fabrics, which is exactly the reason that Modern Karton chose ProJet. ProJet’s Cleaners stand out in cleaning efficiency and highest reliability.

Despite COVID19 travel restrictions, ProJet continues to fully support customers throughout the world for service and start-ups. Özkan Aydin, Operations Manager of PM5 at Modern Karton said: ”ProJet’s Team was highly flexible in scheduling this start-up and ProJet’s engineers are highly knowledgeable and experienced. All this lead to a smooth and trouble-free start-up.”

The Pro Cleaner Type F (Forming Fabrics) uses a traversing cleaning head that contains multiple nozzles. With a high cleaning pressure and a cleaning width of 200mm (8”) almost three times the cleaning area is covered in the same amount of time as conventional oscillating showers.

Furthermore, the Pro Cleaner, Type F, delivers the following operational and performance benefits:

•  Substantial cleaning water savings (= operational cost reduction + improved profitability): the Pro Cleaner provides superior cleaning performance, while only consuming 1.3gpm (5.0 liter/min) of water. A conventional oscillating shower consumes over 100gpm of water, leading to substantial more electrical power and wastewater treatment costs.

•  Water mist elimination is achieved by the application of air knives that contain water mist and contamination, which is discharged through Venturi tubes and finally into a save all pan.

•   Targeted cleaning enables an operator to control the Cleaner for not only overall CD fabric/felt cleaning but to also apply targeted zone/strip or edge cleaning.
