China’s Ministry of Environment and Ecology has issued what is probably the last round of recovered paper (RCP) import permits this year.

The twenty-fourth batch amounting to 139,955 tonnes was released on Friday last week.

It was given to just one company, Dongguan Jianhui Paper.

Under China’s RCP quota regime, import licences for the current year can be used to get cargoes cleared through customs until December 31, at which point they expire.

Deliveries of RCP cargoes from the USA and Europe usually take 45-60 days from orders being placed to arrival in China.
